Feathers and Ponies
This was one of the first shoots I put together with Ingrid Svare Photography. We were inspired by the Native American bride concept, with hair feathers and thick lace skirts, and so we wanted to put something like that together.
Sarah Bates was our model, and she is amazing. She had the perfect complexion and hair for this shoot, and we even drew some tattoos on her arms... no I am not a professional so I apologize for those ;)
We chose two different dresses from BASH, a two piece and a one piece, and they both photographed wonderfully. We also had some friends who own a couple horses and we thought we might want to photograph Sarah with some of them (which was easier said than done!).
On the day of the shoot, it was a freezing day, with snow flurries coming and going. Sarah was freezing but she still did a perfect job! And we even got the horse to cooperate for a couple minutes. (for like, one whole minute).
The photos turned out so beautifully, and the snowfall added a great atmosphere to the shoot. :)
TIP: if you are going to be getting married outside and the weather is rainy/snowy, be sure to stay inside until the last minute possible, and don't overdo the product you put in your hair. When it gets wet, it can get really soggy and sticky and thats not what you want. Stick with a minimal amount of products and you'll be better off!
